“You look like an idiot,” he says, shoving his hands inside his pocket in an effort to keep them warm. He kicks a pebble and watches with satisfaction as it flies, lands, and continues rolling until it falls into the lake. Sherlock wishes he could get rid of all of his problems this way, he wishes he could push Jim in and see him vanish in the ripples. Maybe the other would, and that’s why he doesn’t do it, he’s barely sure that Jim is real as it is.
