Summary
Amestris is known for its leader’s love of warmongering, yet the war in Ishval left behind a dark and ugly stain on the soul of the country. Lieutenant Colonel Roy Mustang is determined to do whatever it takes to get rid of that mark, right the wrongs of the past, and transform this government into one that works for the people. Not against. With this single-minded drive and purpose, he trekked out to some backwater town called 'Resembool' to search for two terrorists and local alchemists known as the Brothers Elric.
Intel has informed him that the Brothers aided and abetted the bombing of Resembool’s train station, leaving many civilians dead. He finds them. But they aren't anything like he expected.
[Or, How Two Orphans and a Poor Attempt to Butcher a Rabbit Awakened Roy Mustang's Deep-Seated Parental Desires Leading to him Going off the Rails, Burning Down a House, Committing Treason, and Not Telling Riza Hawkeye Any of this.]

Summary
Now that Mustang has Ed and Al away from the hell-hole known as Resembool, he now has to decide on more permanent accommodations. At an orphanage. Definitely at an orphanage and not with him. There's no way he can take two kids permanently. He lives in a one bedroom apartment! An orphanage would be a much better place for them to grow and thrive.
Right?

Summary
The city is loud... and that seems like such a stupid thing to say. But to Ed, it's louder than loud. A constant roaring in his ears that won't go away no matter how long he hides under the bed or stuffs his fingers in his ears. He's trying not to let it get to him. He's trying to be normal. He's trying not to show Roy just how defective he is.
He knows it's not going to work.
He's a damn ticking time bomb and no matter what he does, he can't seem to stop the clock.

Summary
After a few weeks in Central, things have finally started to settle down. And now that things have started to settle down, Al's realizing just how much Roy does for them. It makes him feel kind of... guilty. After all, Roy had a life before them. And friends and hobbies and plans before he and Ed came crashing into his world. Thankfully, with a nice donation from Major Armstrong, the boys now have money to spend on whatever they want (except for sweets. Roy said no sweets). After much debate, they know what they're going to do: Cook Roy dinner! It'll be a complete surprise.
Hopefully he likes it!

Summary
Ever since Roy came hiking out of Resembool with Ed and Al, Riza understood that they were his kids. His boys. His Xiǎo húlí and Xiǎo hǔ zǐ. It's not that Riza wants to be separate from them. It's that she understands that the role of "mom" has been well and truly filled by Trisha Elric, and she would never do anything to make the boys feel like she's trying to replace their mother. But, maybe she doesn't have to try and replace her...
Maybe there is room for both her and Trisha Elric in the boys’ lives.
