Stunning red eyes, the color of rubies, gazed up at him. They were open wide with fear, a fear so primal that Izuku lost his breath for a moment. He’d seen those eyes before, had known that fear before; after all, it had been Izuku’s reality for a long, long time. For someone so young to know such fear…who was she?
Kneeling down, Izuku smiled at her, small but warm, hoping to convey his sincerity.“Hello,” He said softly. “My name is Deku. What’s your name?”
The little girl stared at him, unblinking for a moment. Then, in a small, raspy voice, she responded.
“...Eri,” the little girl, Eri, whispered.

Summary
It was a tough day for Denki.
English Class (his favorite class) went fine, and so did Heroics Class with Aizawa-sensei (up until the end, at least). But the rest of the day? Awful. The words on the board swam back and forth, never staying put long enough for Denki to concentrate before the teachers moved along, erasing their notes or writing even more. That wasn’t even mentioning math. Denki wasn’t so bad at it before, back in middle school. But when simple multiplication and division turned into Algebra and Trigonometry, he couldn’t even hope to catch up.
So what if he hides from his friends to go cry? He doesn't want them to see him like this, so distraught, being nothing but a failure—
“Who the fuck said you could say that about yourself, huh?”

“Now that I seem to have your attention,” All Might said, sounding rather amused. “Young Midoriya, I would like for you and I to meet up at Dagoba Beach in an hour. I’ll be waiting for you there.”
“But wait—” Izuku protested, only to hear a dial tone. Izuku grumbled as he ended the call. He supposed that, after multiple missed calls, All Might wasn’t willing to let Izuku ignore him anymore. Izuku sighed. How was he supposed to face All Might?
Izuku just didn’t know. After all, how do you face your Hero when you’ve failed them so miserably?

After the First Year Sports Festival, Izuku believes he's failed All Might, failed the man who had given him everything without asking for anything in return. A conversation on the beach, however, may very well be what changes Izuku's mind.

Summary
Shouto was always cold.
It came with predominantly using his right side growing up. Refusing to use his left side, his old man’s power, as a way to prove he didn’t need fire, didn’t need Endeavor, in order to become a good Hero. And so, over the years of harsh training, he’d learn to hone the power of his right side, his mother’s powers, his powers of cold, of snow and ice. Even now, after learning to use his left side properly, and to devastating effect, Shouto would still say that his right side is his preferred choice when using his quirk in battles or in training.
Shouto is always cold, and in the winter, nothing ever seems to truly warm him up. It's always been like that until one day, Izuku gives Shouto his hoodie.
(In which Shouto accidentally goes from borrowing one of his friend's hoodies to having an entire winter collection's worth of hoodies, sweaters, sweatshirts and more. He would give them back, but...they kept him so, so warm.)
