Summary
“Just relax.” Eddie runs his fingers through Steve’s hair and okay, that actually feels kind of nice. “This is happening, so you might as well enjoy it.”
Robin laughs. “You’re gonna look so pretty, Steve.”
“I’m gonna kill all of you,” Steve mutters but he sits still and lets Eddie muss up his hair probably beyond all recognition. “Seriously, none of this better leave this room.”

Summary
“Eddie already agreed to come along,” Lucas says. “We just need one more driver. Which will be you…?”
Steve thinks on that. Okay, so Eddie’s gonna be there. To swim. Possibly in a swimsuit, no shirt on?
But how does he say yes now without looking suspicious?
“Nancy’s gonna be there,” Dustin sing-songs.
“We’re in,” Robin says immediately.

Summary
“I get it.” Dustin nods. “Completely fair. But, uh… what if this hypothetical gay person seems like he might be unhappy about it? And I want him to know it’s okay?”
Steve swallows past the sudden lump in his throat.
“That’s actually kind of sweet,” Robin says, sounding touched herself.
“Who is it?” Steve asks.
Robin raises her eyebrows. “It’s the Byers kid, right? I mean, obviously.”

Summary
“Hey,” he responds quietly. His eyes drift upwards but never quite reaching her face. “I… Dustin said I should talk to you.”
Robin takes a deep breath. It’s okay, she can do this. “Yeah. I thought maybe you needed to talk to someone who understands what it’s like to be different.”
Will’s eyes finally meet hers. They’re so big and sad, and Robin, who has never once felt a twinge of maternal instinct, wants to take this kid and wrap him up in a blanket.

Summary
There’s Eddie shirtless, is the first thing Steve notices. Shirtless and in his acid wash jeans with the ripped knees. Shirtless and barefoot, sweaty and flushed from the heat.
Shirtless and… wearing a headband?
Eddie, noticing him looking, immediately tears the headband off. “Not a word.”

Summary
Steve rolls his eyes. “It’s nothing. Minor run in with the law, that’s all.”
“What?” Dustin sputters.
“Nice,” Max says approvingly.
“What Steve meant to say,” Robin cuts in, “is that he thought it would be a good idea to block a police batton with his head.”

Summary
“That’s different,” Steve argues. “It’s not the spit I’m worried about, it's the-” he waves his hand, “gunk on your teeth.”
“Oh, like that would be the dirtiest thing of mine you’ve had in your-”
Steve makes a strangled noise at the back of his throat and slams his hand over Eddie’s mouth.
“This is fun,” Robin says dryly. “I’m so glad we’re stuck in the car together for the next two hours.”

Summary
Robin narrows her eyes. “I’m sorry, do you think it’s undignified to dress like a woman? Is it because you think we’re so beneath you?”
“I didn’t say that,” Steve says, pointing at her. “You're putting words in my mouth.”
“Then what exactly is so bad about putting on a dress?”
