  Summary

  Qrow encouraged Ruby to enter her design for Crescent Rose into a anonymous weapon designing competition in order to boost her self-confidence, inadvertently attracting the interest of James Ironwood to his niece.

  Ironwood is both curious about the identity of Qrow's apparent protégé and reluctantly impressed by their quality of their drafting skills. Despite the fact that it would solve a significant number of his problems, he can't bring himself to throw the Signal student's entry into the trash and simply pretend he never saw it.
