“Our female tribute for district twelve is….” A pause. “Eri Midoriya.”
Izuku’s eyes widen as he feels dread pour all around, small whispers between the square as the peacekeepers get ready to reach for her. Izuku feels a cold sense of dread. He can’t breath. His sister’s scared eyes meet his, and he blurts out the first thing that comes to mind.
“I volunteer as tribute!”
Despite Eri’s name only being written once as it is her first reaping, she still gets chosen. Izuku won’t let his little sister die.

Summary
Maybe if Katsuki closed his eyes and pretended—maybe District 12 will still be standing. Maybe his parents would still be alive. When he opens his eyes again, he doesn’t see District 12 and he doesn’t see his parents. He sees a man with far too great joy watching him break slowly, a condescending expression on his face.
“Well,” says Dr. Garaki, calmly. “You really only have one person to blame.”
The first name that comes to mind is Shigaraki.
“Izuku Midoriya,” says Dr. Garaki. His eyes widen. “If it weren’t for him… perhaps your parents would still be alive.” The name that is said into the air brings a bitter feeling into his heart.
In the end, it didn’t take much for Katsuki to become a mutt. The Capitol always made sure they got rid of anything good.
