“Are they just on your face? Or are they everywhere?”
“They’re everywhere,” Fushiguro shifted closer, trying to see the black tattoos, “What the hell? What is going on, sweetheart?”
As Fushiguro stood below Sukuna, he reached out to grab the Alpha’s arm. With Sukuna’s permission, he pushed up the hoodie sleeve to admire the rings of black ink wrapping around the tan muscle. A pale finger traced the band closest to Sukuna’s hand. From this angle, Sukuna could see past the high collar of the white button-up. Thick scent blockers were stuck to the collum of Fushiguro’s neck. The skin around the application was red and irritated. Sukuna felt a few more traces around his arm, light humming accompanying the touches.
Fushiguro took a step back, to Sukuna’s relief and disappointment.
“My name is Fushiguro Megumi. I’m a student at Tokyo Jujutsu Technical High School. How long have you been seeing curses? Have you always been able to see them?”

His alpha screamed at him to get Megumi as far away from the mission as possible, but he couldn’t move him until the wound healed. It was too risky when he didn’t know how hard Megumi had hit the ground. He couldn’t be wasting time-fighting off against these curses while he could feel the bond weakening. He… He can feel the bond dying. NO!
With a deep breath, he raised his hand and locked his fingers together.
“Domain Expansion!”

“You smell different. Your cursed energy has been off, too.” Satoru’s face didn’t change. It was like he was talking about the morning news. But, Suguru could see through the mask, the unease that strung Satoru's shoulders. He was expressing the news in the calmest way he knew how, and that fact was making Suguru even more nervous.
“I don’t know what that means, Toru. Spell it out for me.” Suguru was trying to be calm but he was losing his patience. The man's persistent cagey behavior was driving him insane. Was he sick? Satoru had never been able to see illnesses before, no matter how much they wished it was possible when they had four-grade school kids.
“You’re pregnant.”

Gojo paused to nervously wring his hands together, reading the room and flicking his eyes over to his mate. “There’s a mission that was assigned to me two months ago about an omega club in Shinjuku. There’s a higher-level curse hanging around and preying on omegas when they leave the club and obviously, I’m not the prime target for this curse so it hides away when I try to pursue it.”
“You need me and Toge to go take care of it.” Megumi reasoned, leveling an unimpressed gaze to the sheepish-looking Gojo.
Sukuna cleared his throat, “Obviously, I’ll be joining. It’s the most sensical.”
“Actually, no it’s not.” Gojo wagged his finger. “You know that better than anyone, Itadori-kun.”
“Huh?”
Sukuna pressed further into Gojo’s space, a threat.
“You’re barred from this mission.”
“You fucking–”

Sukuna must be dead. His chest feels too hollow for there to be any other explanation.

“Where’s Megumi?” Sukuna grits out. That’s what he needs to bring him back. Megumi always grounds him back to Earth after a bad mission.
Maki continues to look at him, a pitying expression crossing her face.
