Summary
It's 1997 and Haley's Circus has set up shop in Gotham.
Tim isn't lost, he knows exactly where he is. His nanny on the other hand, doesn't. She hasn't noticed this fact yet.
Enter Dick Grayson, stage left.
“Hey there, are you okay?” Tim looks up to see a boy walking towards him. He has black hair and a very nice smile on his face. Tim nods in answer.
“ ‘M fine.” He mumbles even though it’s a lie.
The boy kneels in front of Tim, resting his head on his hands. “Are you lost?” He asks.
“I’m not lost.” Tim answers, blinking. “My nanny is. I know I’m here.”
“Ahhhh.” The boy nods. “So you’re waiting for her to find you then?”
“Yes.” Tim nods, arms clutching his elbows.

Summary
The year is 2007 and Cassandra Cain has come to Gotham. She doesn't know yet what she'll find here. For now, it's enough that the shadows are deep.
~~~~~~~~~~
The Master was never afraid of her. She was a weapon, there was no need to be. A weapon could hardly turn against its own Master after all.And then the work began and Cassandra learned very quickly that most people were afraid all the time. When she hugged the shadows, skittered her way through them, every time she looked at the targets, she started to see it.
The fear that made their feet light, the fear that made them drag. The fear that twitched their fingers and sent their eyes spiraling over the room. Even though they never saw her, they knew she was there, knew something was hunting them, and that fear was a warning call.
It was a call she didn’t understand, but the Master made sure she knew to watch for it. Fear meant weakness, it meant desperation. For most, fear created unpredictability.
But Cassandra could SEE, so for her, fear created a pattern to exploit.
Summary
Some time ago, Tim Drake stepped down from Robin and in the wake of that, Stephanie Brown stepped up. She did her best for two months, but it ended with a pistol and a psychopath.
Or so everyone thought.
Because the truth, despite it all, is that there's only an empty grave where Stephanie is supposed to lay.Stephanie Brown did not expect to open her eyes ever again. In point of fact, she’d been TOLD she would not. By a doctor Bruce actually trusted too, and that made her trust as well. After all, if the world’s most paranoid man said someone was legit, it was probably true yeah?
Well, not this time apparently. Because Stephanie opened her eyes in a hospital bed to the sound of regular beeping. It’s probably for this reason that her first words were, “ ’m not dead?” said in a raspy voice that cracked her throat on the way out.Series
Summary
Dick struggles to juggle numerous responsibilities including new fatherhood in the wake of his father's 'death'. Between trying to keep his family from falling apart and teaching Damian how to be Robin, Dick might have bit off more than he can chew...
Dick was tired. More tired than he’d ever thought he could be. Even more tired than when he’d patrolled Blüdhaven by himself, Jason had been dead, and he had been on the outs with Bruce.
The reason why was simple. Because once again, everything in his life was falling apart. And as always, it all came back to Bruce.
Because Bruce was dead. He was dead and never coming back (right?).
As Tim rushes off to find proof that Bruce is in the time stream and needs rescuing, Timothy finds his own life uprooted and scattered in the wake. Feeling more alone than ever before, can these two come together again when they need it most?
~~~~~~~~~

Tim, calm down! Talk to me Tim, what’s going on?
Timothy tried to barge into the front, to slow Tim’s tapping fingers, force him to breathe for once, but he was locked out. Tim was gatekeeping the body. He could only watch as Tim sent an e-mail stating he would be taking a leave of absence from Wayne Enterprises effective immediately, then booked himself a ticket to London.
What are you doing-that’s mine! Timothy clawed his fingers across the bars. Wayne Enterprises is mine!
No time for it-I have work to do, Robin…RED Robin work. The company will last with Lucius in charge, but who knows how long Bruce will? Tim brushed him aside as he shoved the last of his clothes into a duffel bag. He slung it over his shoulders and stood in his own windowsill.

Summary
When Jason gets the call about Bruce's seeming death, he reacts the same way anyone would when their former foster dad/the only real parent they've ever had/a man who once totally betrayed him dies.
He shoots the phone and dives into his work.
But the call of brotherhood is stronger than even his denial, and Jason finds himself back at Wayne Manor. What will he find there?“There’s…I’m sorry Jason, there’s just…no easy way to say this.” Dickface took several deep breaths as Jason listened silently to the phone. “Bruce is dead.”
Jason dropped the phone. He stared at its spot on the floor, listening to Dick’s teeny voice calling his name.
He took his gun out and shot the phone. Twice.

Summary
Tim's always had to keep a pristine home, using coasters for his drinks, never touching the display towels, and always using uncomfortable magazine worthy furniture that looks good, but could never stand up to a vigilante bleeding on it.
And then he gets his very first apartment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tim could remember being six years old, stuck in the bathroom, hands dripping wet and panicking, because of three rules.One, he could not spill anything on the carpet, even water. This meant he could not leave the bathroom until his hands were dry.
Two, he could not use the display towels to dry his hands. They were for looking. Not using. This was a problem because they were the only towels in the bathroom.
Three, hands were never to be wiped on clothes. It was dirty and ‘plebeian’ to do that. Two things a Drake heir could never be.
If you asked the Justice League or the Teen Titans or any other random superhero who ran the Gotham vigilantes, they would all of course answer Batman.
This is patently false.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Barbara was a kid, her uncle would tell her stories about Batman and later, Robin. At first, they’d been simple. A bank robbery stopped here, a drug stash found there, but then the crimes got bigger. Shootout with the Falconies. The Maronis left in a train yard, beaten black and blue. Then it was Two-Face and Joker and Scarecrow and so many more.She’d stare out her window at night, thinking about the latest Rogue attack, knowing that someone needed to help them.
Why not her?
Summary
Recent events have Stephanie thinking back on her life, or to be more specific, the child she had when she was still a child herself. The line between fantasy and reality can be thin at times, but Stephanie knows where she stands even as she contemplates alternate paths.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Sometimes Stephanie liked to think about what would have happened if she hadn’t given up her baby. It had been a girl she knew, but that was all she knew. She hadn’t even allowed herself to look at her baby’s face, because she knew that if she had she’d never be able to pry herself away.Stephanie loved being a vigilante, she truly did. She loved flying through the air, loved the feel of a nose breaking under her fist, loved knowing she was helping people, making the city just that much safer. She couldn’t imagine giving up the life of a vigilante.
Yet whenever she imagined this other life, the life she could have had with her baby, she knew she would have had to give it all up for that. After all, babies tend not to sleep through the night. How could she possibly patrol when she had a baby waiting for her? Supposing she tried anyways, who would watch her baby for her while she patrolled?

Summary
It’s no secret that Dick has made mistakes over the years. The amount of regrets he has run deep to say the least. Here is a quick retrospective on some of those regrets, and the lengths Dick goes to make up for them.
~~~~~~~~~~
Dick stared at the newspaper in his hands. He blinked once, twice, thrice, but the paper didn’t change. It continued to say, Robin Flies Again! As if that could be true. As if Bruce really would give away his colors without telling him.Because that would be ridiculous. Why would he do that? How could he do that? There was no way. There was no damn way Mr. ‘I never should have made you Robin’ would turn around and give some OTHER kid HIS suit.
Okay, a suit he abandoned, but-but-
Those were his colors.
That was his name.
Retired, yes, hell yes, he’d retired both. He grew up. He was his own hero, had his own city, his own team. Bruce had made it very clear that Dick wasn’t welcome or wanted.
And then he gave some other kid Robin. Like Robin was a toy to be passed around.
Summary
Damian has just turned sixteen years old. This means he's been working as Robin for almost six years now, his high school graduation is fast approaching and he's come a long way since he was a child assassin dealing with his entire world changing.
OR!
I contemplate Damian’s evolving vigilante and civilian persona in the context of his birthdays.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Damian woke up on August ninth already knowing that he would not be getting any work done today. He was sixteen now, which meant this was his seventh birthday since coming to live with his Father. As such, he knew what to expect from it.
He knew there would be cake, that his favorite meals would be made. He knew there would be a party later in the day with all of his friends and allies invited. He knew that if there was anywhere he wanted to go, they would do so, provided there were no large-scale Arkham breakouts to deal with. He knew that at some point throughout the day, his mother would arrive. She never approached him directly, but he could always sense her eyes on him.
Then he would make his excuses, would visit and speak to her. Not for long, never for long, twenty minutes at most, but she was always there.Series

Summary
After losing the fight with Thanos, Peter is left in a bad way. A very bad way. When the snap happens, Peter knows there is no escape.
He doesn't expect to wake up drowning in green.
OR!
Another Peter Parker in the DCU.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I hope they remember you.” Thanos raised his hand, stones glowing.“Wait, wait, stop, please!” Peter’s ribs ached, his lungs trembling with the need for air, but Peter couldn’t stand there and watch Mr. Stark die, he just couldn’t. With a thwip of his webs, he slid in between Mr. Stark and Thanos. “Can’t we talk about this?” He pleaded.
“Kid, don’t.” Mr. Stark gasped.
“There is nothing to say. The universe must be saved and this is the only way.” Thanos’s eyes on Peter chilled him to the bone. Peter had seen a lot since he started running around Queens as Spider-Man. A lot. He’d seen crazy eyes, angry eyes, sad eyes, eyes full of grief, eyes full of fear. Never before had he seen such emotionless eyes as those Thanos had. There was no hate, anger, or fear in those eyes. They were completely calm.
They didn’t look crazy at all, and it was terrifying to see when he knew just what the Titan had planned.
