Summary
“Are you shitting yourself?” Valentino chuckles, face scrunched and perfect, when he passes a helmet from a rack and watches him fumble with the straps.
Marc tries to look intimidating. Something in the back of Valentino’s glinting eyes tells him he’s failed rather spectacularly.
“Don’t do anything reckless. I have a championship to win, in my timeline.”
A beat and a dramatic gasp. Valentino, hand pressed flat over his heart, mouth agape in mock outrage, is trying not to burst out laughing.
“What, do I look like someone who does dangerous tricks on a scooter?”
Marc’s jaw clicks as he puts the helmet on, shaking his head.
“You look like someone who would crash us into a cliff for fun.”
Finally, Valentino lets go and laughs, his mouth one bit too big for his delicate face. He’s still laughing when he opens the gas with a flick of his wrist, the exhaust thick in the still air. Marc braces tight and hopes for the best.The one in which Marc time travels and finds out he's made himself a controversially young boyfriend in 1997.

Summary
“Five hundred something days. I stopped counting, after a while. Time’s stuck, and I don't want it to get un-stuck because that would mean…that would mean that it’s going to be saturday at some point, and I’m not ready for that yet.”
Valentino looks stunned and, perhaps, a little sick to his stomach. His cheeks have taken on a sickly grayish hue – it usually happens when he’s got an upset stomach, or a brain-shattering migraine.
“What…what’s wrong with saturday?”
There’s no way to put it nicely, so Marc does what he does best: he rips the band-aid off at once, still keeping Valentino close, close enough that he can feel his heartbeat pressed into his own chest, strong and fast as it ripples through the mattress.
“You die on saturday. And the world is ending because I don’t want you to die.”In an attempt to prevent Valentino's death, Marc almost causes the end of the world.
