Summary
Jack is flat on the ground, gun in hand, and there’s blood everywhere. The left side of his face is a mess of torn flesh and exposed bone, and his left eye isn’t even visible. His right one is open and stares blankly up at the ceiling, unfocused and unseeing. His left hand is twitching, sitting in a pool of blood which is slowly spreading from his head. The smell of blood is coppery and thick, and for a moment Fay stops breathing.
He’s gone and killed himself.
