Love is cruel.
But fate is even more so.
He transforms love, sometimes guides the legendary epics and federative of great heroes, sometimes the aspiration of a desperate soul in search of its saving half. Fate laugh at the heart, using it as the most ignoble torture.
All fear fate, mortal or divine, none escapes the cruel adversity of power that surpasses even the will of the gods, a force that even immortals cannot bend according to their desire.

Summary
“Okay, Medusa, how hard can this be? Just… Just go in, get her head, get out. Not a problem.” Perseus said, walking through the forest.
He had consulted the Oracle of Delphi who had told him to seek out the land where men ate only acorns, like that made any sense.
Yet, by what was most likely some divine intervention (was his father looking down at him with pride or humiliation?), Perseus had yet to find anyone in the grove of Dodona who ate anything but acorns. Seriously, it was all acorns.
“‘Get me a wedding gift’, he said. ‘Whatever you want’, I said. ‘Get me the head of Medusa for a damn wedding’, he said. Why would anyone want a gorgon head for a wedding?!” He cried.
Or,
A retelling/adaptation of Perseus's journey! He's stupid, Athena's done, summary will change. Again, constructive criticism welcome!

"You're a monster" he hissed; she laughed and said "Better a monster than an arrogant God."
Medusa, the Gorgon, and Perseus, the one who came to slay her. What if their story ended a little differently?
