Summary
"You’re my mission" the words came out when I shoved the target on the ground.
"You’re my mission!" I repeated while punching target in the face. It sounded more as if I was trying to convince myself that the man laying under me is nothing more than just another target, another mission to accomplish.
When I was about to punch the target one more time—something stopped me.
I looked at his face closely. It was bruised and his eye was swollen, blood dripping from his mouth and nose, few cuts on his forehead and cheeks."Then finish it, because I'm with you till the end of the line" the target said
*I'm with you till the end of the line*
I remembered these words

After destruction of Project Insight and Steve's and Bucky's fight on Helicarier, Steve falls into the water and Bucky rescues him. After taking him out of the water he stops for a second to make sure Steve was breathing and then walks away. What If Steve wasn't breathing and Winter had to take care of Steve?
I TRIED TO MAKE IT AS CANNON AS POSSIBLE! I WANTED IT TO TAKE PLACE BETWEEN CATWS AND CIVIL WAR BC I WANT MY FF TO CONNECT TO CIVIL WAR(i love making things semi-cannon!!)

Summary
Domino art- an art form where dominoes are arranged and thus toppled in order to reveal a pattern or image. It is believed to have originated in China during the 12th century.
The charred, smoking remains of a helicarrier fall into the river, and with them, so does a soldier.
He has served and survived for a long time. The world celebrates him, but it has turned against him before. The water is cold, and he is tired, and the current whirls across his wounds, coming up red. He just lets himself sink, deeper and deeper.
A building crumbles nearby, on the shore, and another soldier is in the river.
This one? He… he is unsure. Of everything. His mission, his purpose, his identity. He has served and survived for a long time. In the face of the people who made him who he is, parts of his old self lie dormant.
He is tired, and the water is cold, and where it surrounds him, it turns red.
He doesn't let himself sink.
