Summary
What might have happened, if The Grandslayers decided to get rid of the Ninth Commandment, and allow Scythes to marry and have children? What if they also decided to make it so that the role of High Blade would be passed down from parent to child?
What if Scythe Goddard had not been disqualified from election of High-Blade, and ended up winning?
That is exactly what happens in this AU.
Now that Goddard has the power he's always wanted, he needs to ensure it stays with him and within The New Order. So he decides he needs a child, an heir. And to accomplish that he needs a surrogate.
And who should step up to volunteer for that position?
Scythe Rand, of course.Meanwhile, with the Ninth Commandment now gone, Faraday and Curie are free to express their love, to be together without having to hide it at last.
What happens when they later find out some news that neither of them ever thought would be a possibility for them? -
