One night, Deet catches a shooting star—or rather, a young Gelfling named Brea who had fallen from the sky, kept afloat only by her mysterious crystal pendant. From there, the two Gelfling find themselves on a perilous journey to find the mysterious and legendary floating island of Thra. Along the way, they must team up with a ragtag crew of sky pirates who seek to unearth Thra's treasures and must evade the Skeksis who seek to control Thra's destructive automaton armies.
And perhaps they'll find something else between them, something more precious and powerful than anything Thra could possess.

SkekZok gave a small grunt, "And how do we do that?"
SkekSil laughed at their insolence, "Give traitor Rian trial. Let gelfling turn on him once and for all. Skeksis shall reign supreme!!!"

SkekNa finds himself, through his own patent idiocy (if that’s really all there is to it), caught up in the matter.
___________This is very UngNa-heavy and would also be filed under that series if we could have multiple series. Writing this originally got me interested in the dynamic of these three characters in particular, and I’m still obsessed with them.
Li is really put through the wringer here. I cannot overstate that.
