“You’re not leaving?” the Cat suddenly ponders out loud, without any genuine surprise or confusion lacing her tone — noticing the Bat hadn’t yet taken his leave, like he usually would after either gaining whatever he’s come for, or intending to find his answers somewhere else, were she to not provide him with what he’d needed.
Yet he lingers.
“Information wasn’t your only intent with your visit here, after all.” She smiles triumphantly and goes to pry the knight’s armoured arms out of their grumpy cross and guide them to rest around her neck instead. She purrs from the heavenly weight now moderately pushing down on her shoulders. Before her own mischievous hands travel to cup his reinforced waist with a delighted little hum. His arms deliberately tighten around her neck, and his eyes fall onto her lips. The Bat leans downward, increasing their proximity, and bumping the pointed nose of his cowl against hers. “You took longer to figure than expected,“ he whispers in his usually deep voice, provocative intent lacing his tone as he does.
