Curiosity keeps pulling me toward you.Arkha didn't know when it started, but at some point, his suspicions about Tamsy turned into a kind of genuine curiosity. Questions like "Why did he do that?" or "Where was he on his day off?" strangely began to morph into "What kind of food does he like?" or "What does he like to do on his days off?" He had to give himself a mental slap when these doubts started to creep in. Though it wasn't very helpful, as they always returned.

But I can't hold back.Tamsy didn't imagine his plans would be noticed so quickly by the Cleaners leader. He wasn't naive enough to think Corvus wouldn't notice this happening right under his nose, but he was quicker than the blond expected. His not-so-subtle glances and almost accusatory questions clearly conveyed his suspicions.

“He’s not interested,” Gavin told her, his tone sugary and sharp. His smile didn’t come close to reaching his eyes, but triumph glinted there when the woman recoiled on herself. She gave him a nasty look, but Gavin had already turned to Nines with a small pout.
Unwanted attention forgotten, Nines’ body thrummed at Gavin’s pouty expression and glassy eyes. He wanted to tell Gavin that he looked sweet like that, that he’d look even better if he was on his knees.
“Let’s go,” Gavin more or less said rather than asked. The corner of Nines’ mouth twitched, pulling a small smile out of him.
