Summary
Gerard notices the way Ray’s brows knit together and the way his forehead creases whenever they start moving circular.
Everything just seems so dire in the moment and Ray manages to speak before his brain gets the chance to filter through his words.
“Fuck, babygi–” Ray cuts himself off before he can even finish the remainder of his sentence.
Gerard leans forward, letting their hands press against Ray’s chest. They like the feeling of a meadow of hair beneath their palms and they love what they think the rest of Ray’s sentence might entail.

“We’re going to fight,” Frank says, “and you’re going to decide what the winner and the loser get.”
