   Part of her relished this brief flicker of solitude first thing in the morning. Though her time as Lady Fraldarius was filled with extravagance, privacy was the one luxury never afforded to her. Now she had no chefs to prepare her meals, no maids to scrub her floors, no ladies-in-waiting with whom to make awkward conversation as they undressed her like a child.
