Max knew. On this race week, Charles only played when he was stressed. Or sad. Or thinking about them. About Jules. About his father.
Stood in the doorway, shoulder leant against the doorframe, Max just silently watched, crossing his arms over his chest. Charles knew he was there. He’d turn around if he wanted to. Instead he stayed with his head slightly bowed, fingers moving across the keys in perfect rhythm, rings occasionally catching the light pouring in the window and sending beams of reflection across the walls.
After PR leave from shooting the Instagram videos from showing off Charles's Monaco helmet, new clothing collaboration, and piano skills, Charles needs to reflect. Max needs to watch.
