To think that Choso had ended up catching Yorozu’s eye, but at least he was right in believing that she hadn’t acted out of malice. Yuji couldn’t even blame it on a cultural difference to worsen the misunderstanding. Yorozu was just doing her normal Yorozu-thing, and that did not translate well one bit.

Childe whistles, awestruck. “That’s amazing, I’ve never seen anything like that before.”
“I’m glad,” Zhongli says, his eyes soft and shining. “I have missed our evening walks. I assumed that you have no use for my services any longer. I am glad to be wrong in my assumption.”
Heart in his throat, Childe hears his unsaid words: I missed you. He looks down, and sees his and Zhongli’s hands held together, and his grip on the other man tightens.
“I’m honoured,” Childe says, his voice raspy with emotion. He clears his throat, then tries again. “Zhongli… can I call you that? Just Zhongli? I’m glad— I’m so glad we’re friends.”
“We were business associates. It did not seem appropriate at that time.” Zhongli manages, his head still spinning from the revelation.
“Pah!” Hu Tao looks so annoyed she almost spits out her tea. “Is that what you call it nowadays? Business associates ? Business associates don’t meet up after work to take walks together. Business associates don’t go buying each other opera boxes and phoenix-and-dragon chopsticks as gifts unless, I don’t know, you’re in the business of weddings .”
“Director Hu.” Zhongli says warningly, but Hu Tao is unstoppable, her tirade picking up speed.
“Business associates don’t go around meeting each other every single day for lunch. I mean, he was here every day! He came by so often, he could be working here! Even Xiangling had set aside a special table for her quote: ‘favourite couple. ’ Business associates don’t go to seaside picnics by Yaoguang Shoal where he, the famously scary Fatui guy, hand makes food from his hometown just for you .”
“And you—” Hu Tao raises her finger pointing dramatically, “You took him out on a summer date by the beach and you didn’t confess? Why did I even bother lending you my family’s parasol! What a waste!”
