Summary
Park Chaeyoung.
Never late. Never noisy. Never in trouble.
She walked into the classroom exactly two minutes before the bell, as she always did. Enough time to choose her seat, unpack her books, and mentally prepare for whatever the semester held. Teachers loved her. Trouble avoided her. Then—
Bang.
The classroom door slid open.
A girl walked in, uniform loose, tie undone, hair messy like she’d run through a storm. Or a fight. Or both. She chewed gum slowly, lazily, like she didn’t care that twenty pairs of eyes were staring at her.
“Kim Jisoo,” the teacher sighed. “Late. Again.”
Jisoo gave a bow. Quick, disinterested, her gum still in her mouth, and scanned the room for a seat.
Only one was empty.
Chaeyoung’s heart dropped.Jisoo stomped to the back row and dropped her backpack onto the floor with a heavy thud, then slouched into the seat. Within seconds, she rested her head on the desk as if the world had exhausted her beyond reason.
