“Papa! This is my Teddy!” The blonde boy chirps back.
Harry and Draco share a look of genuine surprise. The universe must work in crazy ways since who would have predicted that the kids of the two rivals would naturally gravitate to each other. Summary
"Am I related to any of these people?" Teddy asked, keeping a tight grip on Albus's hand as they walked through the car park. Draco adjusted Lily on his hip.
"Well," Draco started, thinking back through the tangled web of their family tree. "Other than them being your godfather's family, I am your first cousin, once removed, so technically, through marriage-"
"So no?"
"No."
"Good," Teddy nodded. "Harry doesn't seem like he wants to see them."
Draco sighed as they hurried to catch up with Harry, who was holding the door to the funeral parlor open for other people. Scorpius was perched on his hip, and James, who had been holding his free hand, was also helping hold the door with a grin at the strangers who thanked him.
"He hasn't seen this family in a long time, Love," Draco sighed. "And they're not very kind people."
