Chairs, side tables, decorative vases, and paintings littered the air; breaking up the crowd of Death Eaters, barricading everyone out of the room. But nothing touched his soulmate. Athy has always been calm and withdrawn, keeping to herself at all times. When she turned sixteen and four different names appeared on her body, she knew it meant her calm life was gone. So she hid it. And she hid it for many years. No one would ever know these names if it weren't for the Ministry and their stupid new law.
Soulmates are a well-known concept in the magical world, but few wizards actually go after their better half, purebloods, mainly, preferring to marry others of equal standard. Family duty up front.
Until the end of the war, where hundreds of wizards died. And the Ministry created a new law involving soulmates. With the death of many wizards, those who still had their soulmate alive were being forced to get married, all so that the wizard population would not decrease.
And so it was that Athy found herself surrounded by the four men she avoided existence for most of her school years.
