Beep beep bee-beep.
The chipper little four-tone riff from Kim Possible rings from Peter's phone, and it snaps him out of his fugue state enough that he’s able to groan and grab it out from under his pillow. Normally, he’s happy enough to hear Deadpool’s text tone, but there’s nothing he could want at this hour that Peter’s going to be particularly jazzed about. When Wade texts this late, it’s either an emergency on patrol or a sleep-drunk attempt at a booty call, and Peter’s not in a place to entertain either of those ideas.
But he’s at least going to have the decency to text him back and tell him to fuck off.
He opens the phone.

His body stands, reaching for a mask and gloves. “I’m going out.”
“I gave you the perfect dick joke offer, you didn’t even–” Peter stops mid-blabber. “Is this a fight?” He looks exhausted in the glance Wade steals as he rushes to the door.
“When is it not, baby boy?” He blows him a kiss, just to make the way he slams the door hurt worse.
