Baerus spoke his final words in a voice full of promise and strength even. As he and his family disappeared, he plunged his sword into the earth “when the great darkness awakens a new knight will rise chosen by Gaia herself. A warrior that walks the line between order and chaos, that fights in the darkness to bring light to others. A soldier of justice and an agent of vengeance” as he spoke, the words engraved themselves on the sword itself.

This has gotten to the press because someone”, here Lin looked pointedly at Kya, so as to leave no doubt in Tenzin’s mind who this someone is, “Couldn’t keep her mouth shut about what transpired during the interrogation. One of her friends was jealous, so she went to the Republic Times with this ridiculous claim, with the intent to take me down for her benefit.”

Kya is arrested for smoking lilyweed with some friends. Lin takes her away for an “interrogation”, which quickly grows into something spicier, steamier and less PG-13. This story is leaked to the press, and Lin bullies Tenzin to ensure the Council won’t unjustly suspend her.
