Etho didn’t like touch.
This was understood amongst the Hermits. It was a thing. Just as Joel hated horses and Mumbo hated sitting still, Etho would shrink away from physical contact and stand on the outskirts of social situations. The Hermits understood that you didn’t touch Etho.
However, something being understood was very different to something being practised.

Summary
Grian barely registered Scar saying something before every burning end of his being fizzled out. Heat giving way to steam. His chest now colder than the shallow pond he had Scar pinned to the bottom of. Why? Why was he so cold when, a second ago, he could've boiled the pond with the heat beneath his skin?

Summary
It was easy to think that leaving the country would fix all of Grian’s problems.
But of course, life’s not that easy, now is it?ᯓ ✈︎
Grian has spent the past three years in a cult, doing all sorts of rituals and ceremonies and activities. It's toxic, it's traumatic, it's psychological crippling-
So when he gets out, he's relieved, but lost. Moving countries is a big deal.
And he's ready to start a new life, when his old one comes crashing back in.
And really, it's not a bad thing.
