Summary
If you could choose a world to be isekaied into, you probably wouldn't choose the videogame Age of Tales.
It's a painfully generic medieval RPG with a very generic "farm boy becomes a hero" storyline. Or farmgirl, if you go that route. There's some moral choices, but overall the story is very linear from start to finish, and no matter how evil you try to play it, the game inevitably ends with the chosen farmboy (or girl) saving the world. Age of Tales has a very generic cast of characters with very generic backstories, even more generic villains with very basic evil plots, and side quests right out of early free to play mmorpgs. Overall the game is just very… mid.
Upon release the game was a massive flop.
And Katie has happily sunk nearly six hundred hours into it.

After a near-death experience, Lloyd Frontera realizes that the world he was living in was far darker than he had anticipated. His family is in more trouble than he could have imagined so he knows he has to do something if he wants to keep living peacefully. Hell... Would he even be able to live peacefully in a world where he was so deeply hated? Something needs to change and he's, unfortunately, going to have to do it. Looking back at family history though, he's sure there's something he might be able to do.
