Summary
“I never thought I’d do this again,” Isobel admits after a moment, tugging at the heavy neck of Aylin’s mail. “I think I’ve forgotten just how many pieces there are.”
Aylin laughs and she sits back, pulling the chain shirt over her head as if it were made of cotton. “Take all the time you need. We have so much of it now.”
Time. There was supposed to be near enough an eternity of it before.
She cups Aylin’s cheeks, makes a memory of how she melts just that little bit into her touch.
They’d whispered such promises between these very walls so many times, enough that the weight of Isobel’s own mortality seemed to flit further away with every kiss.
What force could possibly break them apart? Fight past Selûne's own sword and shatter this happiness?Bile rises in Isobel’s throat, her fingers firm against her face as she presses their foreheads together. It’s another familiar gesture, the touch so delicate but the words behind it clear.
Nothing will take you from me again.
Aylin and Isobel take some time to themselves following Ketheric's death.

Summary
"Clerics, paladins, priests of Selûne, we can all live and love as we wish to, and marriage isn't disallowed in the least. Even for Aylin, which her mother had told her quite plainly," Isobel giggled.
She remembered very well the near instantaneous response when Aylin had bowed her head in prayer and asked as much. Bright, warm, ethereal. As though Selûne had been elated at the thought. Now, though, with all that had changed, everything Aylin had suffered, and considering the vile magic that an oathbreaker had used to selfishly bring Isobel back to life, would the Lady of Silver still feel similarly? Doubtful. Isobel put on a smile that she knew was a little too tense, a little too false, and hurried to finish her tale.
"We'd uh... we'd considered the idea, back then. Never had a chance to see it through."
From Wyrm's Crossing to Baldur's Gate, Isobel and Aylin navigate both changes and familiar territory.

In the Games, personality is money and performance is survival. Beyond the cameras and the broadcast lights, the Outlands are riddled with shadows hiding more than just the dirt and grime of reality.
Anita Williams thought she didn’t need anyone.
Loba Andrade thought she wanted only revenge.Every time the smoke clears, it’s the two of them standing side by side.
