Summary
Soul didn’t have nearly enough fingers to count the amount of times he’d question how platonic certain situations with his meister were.
Things like hand holding or even sharing a double-scoop ice cream cone could easily be brushed off as just being close, but other exploits like laying next to each other and gazing at the stars during an after-training “picnic” or clumsily blowing raspberries into the other’s stomach just seemed to be slowly dismantling some sort of wall.
So, Soul couldn’t understand why his breath had hitched when Maka flitted her eyes shut and slowly began to close the distance between their lips, with her knuckles going completely pale as she exuberantly gripped the balcony’s edge.
