Summary
While investigating the origins of the mysterious affliction that's decaying Leon from the outside in, he finds his lead in a demented Umbrella researcher who's obsessed with not only the evolutionary prospects of the T-Virus, but also a random F.B.I. Agent with too much anxiety to be surviving the end of the world. Stuck in a mansion disguised as a chronic care center that looks way too much like a certain police department, Leon follows his lead deeper into the Ozarks, unwillingly brought to the beginning of it all.
And at the other side of the building is Chris Redfield, following a lead his team discovered concerning Oswell E. Spencer's final research, and mentions of an ARK. He stumbles across the F.B.I. Agent that he also agrees should not be here, and they work their way through the same manor, hoping to rescue a trapped, blind girl. When Chris is faced with another failure, he finds comfort in being at Leon's side once again, as the call of their mission brings them to the hollowed out corpse of Chris's old home-- Raccoon City.

Summary
The Cult of the Black God has succumbed to Mother Miranda's cruelty, and Chris Redfield goes rogue with a select team to investigate, determined to clean up the mess the BSAA created and tried to cover up. Leaving behind his old life in the middle of the night, he falls back into the familiar world of chaos and violence with a singular goal in mind-- wipe out the Mold, once and for all.
Leon S. Kennedy, who is not at all supposed to be in Romania, has his own goal alongside helping Ethan Winters find his daughter. Leon is here find Chris Redfield and make sure they never split up again.
Honestly? Leon and Chris are getting a little tired of having to learn that lesson so many times.
