Dorcas runs a bookshop/bakery and Marlene is a drummer in a band with Mary, Alice, and Emmeline. Part Two to my fic "All In or All Out." I'd recommend reading that one first if you want full context for this one, but it isn't 100% necessary.Excerpt:
“You’re not going to tell Sirius about us though, right?” Dorcas checked. “We don’t need to make a big fuss about this-”
“Already texted him,” Marlene replied smugly. “No details, don’t worry. Just a row of emojis he can only interpret one way.”
Dorcas groaned, covering her face with her hands. “Marlene! You couldn’t have waited a bit? Is it really necessary to-“
“Not my name.”
“It absolutely is.”
“Not for you. To you, I am…” she prompted.
“A little shite.”
Marlene snorted a laugh and lifted up onto her knees. She goon-grinned at Dorcas with a mischievous smile. “Try again.”
Arching an eyebrow, Dorcas met her gaze defiantly. “An arrogant twat.”
“Stop with the compliments, Dorky! You’re making me blush!” Marlene teased. She patted Dorcas’s cheek. “You know what I want to hear. Are you going to make me beg for it?”
