Summary
Bob has had the most support he’s ever had in his life, living in the Watchtower. Still, he’s struggling with the realization that the power of the Sentry and the destruction of the Void are a package deal, and finally decides that he has to stop being both. Being around the New Avengers only makes his desire to be useful a burning need.
Yelena loves the team, and she’s proud of how she’s stepped up as a leader, but unlike the original Avengers, being the New Avengers came in with all sorts of strings she wasn’t prepared for. Also, the person she’s been the most herself with in the world doesn’t remember any of their most powerful conversations.
Both of their lives have improved so much. With their pasts, they shouldn’t have anything to complain about. Still, they’re not sure how they can go forward from here. Until Yelena comes in with a proposal: “Would you like to go to couples counselling with me?”
Or:
“The point is: People improve when they get external love and support. How can we hold it against them when they don’t?”
