Summary
Xelqua is the perfect exhibit for the Watchers. He knows how to put on a show and rake the money in, after all, he's been doing this since he was a little kid, even if he can't remember his childhood very well... But there's something wrong. This doesn't seem right. Is Xelqua even his name? Wasn't he called something different when he was little? Why does this all feel so wrong?

The hermits are a funny group of people. Their job is twofold. They work partly as a sanctuary for the truly helpless victims of hybrid trafficking, keeping them safe until an equipped shelter can take them in and teach them about the real world. They mainly infiltrate hybrid trafficking rings and take them down, rescuing those poor people who were kidnapped and used for profit.
They're good at what they do and their sights have now been turned onto the Watchers, an insidious and widespread trafficking ring that is known for incredibly rare hybrid collection. It's time to take them down, but who will they find along the way?

❝ "Oi, what's wrong?" Chuuya asks, advancing towards Dazai as his gaze scans every inch of his body.
"Mmh? Wrong? Nothing's wrong. Did you get a lot of water in your eyes in the shower? Or are you so small that-?"
"Don't start with that shit" Chuuya abruptly interrupts him. His slug is worried. He shouldn't be, Dazai isn't in any real danger and besides, he got into this alone. That he didn't notice the poison until after eating the second chocolate shows how much he was careless, how much he failed, "Something's wrong, idiot. Tell me what. Now."
"I don't know what Chuuya's talking about, I'm-" of course, his body chooses that precise moment to start vomiting blood. ❞

On Valentine's Day, Dazai steals and eats some chocolates that were given to Chuuya in the mafia. Turns out they were poisoned chocolates.
