Summary
In freshman year of high school, Danny pulled away from his friends without explanation.
At sixteen, he disappeared. Sam and Tucker presumed him dead. His parents insisted he was taken by ghosts.
As young adults, they run into him in Gotham, of all places. It's a stroke of luck that brings their best friend back to them.
If only it was that easy for the Bats to find the god damn engineer that's been running circles around them while they try to track him down.
Tim's not sure what he'll do first when he finally finds the brilliant bastard - kiss him or punch his teeth in.

Summary
Finally defeating his enemy doesn’t seem to do as much for Skulker as he always imagined it would. After Danny escapes his clutches Skulker decides to change up his plans for how to deal with the Halfa, much to Danny’s confusion.
Too bad Skulker forgets just how unpredictable Phantom can be.

John Constantine told them not to do the thing. They did it anyway.Or, Danny gets summoned by the League, and he actually kind of adopts them in the process. Because these big city heroes don't know anything about ghosts and who is he if he doesn't help them out? Besides, the Watchtower is in space. Danny's always wanted to go to space...
(I'm not really following any specific JL timeline, so like. Be prepared for 98% of everything to be *made up* and possibly *not real*.)

LCR: Chap 69TL:DR (up until this point - SPOILERS AHEAD!!!)
Phantom gets scouted out for the justice league by batman, (and accidentally runs his mouth, revealing his secret identity during the scout meeting), but is not accepted into the League on the terms that he was unable to recognise his parents as supervillains, instead choosing to tolerate them, protect them, and not fight back when shot. Batman decides it's best to immediately prosecute the Drs Fenton to prevent further harm from coming to Phantom and the town.
(this is in Part One of 'Future is Bright')Phantom, who's parents were then up for trial, has nowhere to go and Batman takes the adoption bait and brings him into the manor. Jazz has just recently come to live in the manor, also. The League is horrified to learn about the anti-ecto acts, which slipped by without notice due to inteference from the reality guantlet.
Danny's parents, after being jailed, figured out that Danny was both a ghost, and that he was Phantom, and are now very very sorry. Danny looked into the prison they're being kept in, and discovered it was a shitshow, so he is working on a secret project to reform it.
The Joker, now broken out of Arkham, has decided to turn his sights onto Phantom, who is now at severe risk given that Joker is aware of all of the identities of the Batfam.
