Summary
I’ve always been drawn to JJ. I’m not sure why. But I’ve always thought that I wished they’d done more with her arc of being embedded with the CIA in Afghanistan. I’ve always looked for stories like this but have finally decided to write my own. Plus I love Jemily.
JJ comes back after a year on a covert op with the CIA. It’s mainly interrogating people which is why they chose her, a liaison, someone good at communicating. But in a hostile desert no one comes back the same. No one comes back unscathed. Especially with the untimely ending her mission had. Ghost follow her home, both alive and dead. Fitting into her old life feels impossible. Lying about what’s she’s been doing to her friends, her family, feels impossible. Summary
JJ finally makes it to her seat and leans her head back to catch her breath. Her mind wanders to the stunning woman that had given her the greatest weekend of her life and the way her dark hair so elegantly fanned out across the stark white of the hotel room pillow. She feels a pang of regret for leaving without saying "goodbye", but knows it was for the best. When the plane takes off to take her back to DC, she finally lets it hit her that she may never see her again. JJ jams the heels of her hands into her eyes to stop the tears that are so desperate to fall. Worried that she may be making a scene to the people sitting next to her, JJ takes a deep breath and drags her hands down her face and feels something hard rub against her cheek. JJ's eyes go wide as they fall on a delicate gold band sitting comfortable on the third finger of her left hand.

Summary
This fic is, firstly, a love story. It is, secondly, a fun goofy time. Thirdly, it’s a case fic.
JJ and Emily have been dancing around each other, slowly growing into something more than they were before. But before they can work out exactly what, a case demands them to put everything on hold, and to attempt to navigate strong emotions and growing affections while trying to lure out an unsub.

“Hey, hey, hey,” Morgan interrupted, holding his hands up. “The unsub just violently murdered a woman a hundred feet from where we’re standing, and we’re seriously talking about sending Prentiss undercover? What happened to ‘no one goes out alone’?”
Rossi looked at him. “Not alone, no. That wouldn’t work. He watches his victims for at least a few days, and only targets women that he knows fits his type. Prentiss would need a partner.”
All eyes in the room went to JJ.
