PERSONAL NOTES
Highlighted section from employee profile of AVENTURINE OF STRATAGEMS : “Avgin” means “honey” in the Sigonian language. This is a commonplace derogatory term emphasizing the cunning, persuasive and treacherous nature of the Avgins.
Comment from DR. RATIO : What complete rubbish.
Ratio and Aventurine have gotten closer, and closer, and closer, until something has to give. That something was always going to be Aventurine.
(Ratio would argue that he gave in much earlier, it simply wasn't as dramatic.)

Summary
“Kim Dokja,” Yoo Joonghyuk continues, uncaring for any explanations. “Heats are for females.”
“The rules are…flexible,” Kim Dokja explains.
“Heats are for mating,” Yoo Joonghyuk observes. He towers over Kim Dokja, and in the moment, he really does think: alpha.
“How do you know so much about animal mating cycles?” Kim Dokja spits.
Yoo Joonghyuk’s gaze is unwavering. “How do you know so much about this genre?”

Summary
Kim Dokja is a witch who runs a curse-breaking shop. Cursed objects, enchanted dolls, love spells gone awry, magical family heirlooms—he’s seen it all.
Then, there’s Yoo Joonghyuk. The idiot who somehow became the target of the most ridiculous, laughable magic spell in history.

Summary
Diluc fell—and hit the river's raging waters. His vision went black.
-
Consciousness came and went, as fragile as a spiderweb.
Diluc was swept along by the currents like so much detritus. He opened his mouth and the river-water rushed in, utterly ruthless. Any other person would have died. The water would have filled their lungs. It would have been the slow agony of drowning.
Diluc did not drown.
There was scarce light here. It appeared underwater as a misty luminescence, defining shapes only barely. In this near darkness, it was possible to see the hint of glinting scales, to see a vaguely serpentine shape.
The river's currents carried that strange form away, blood leaving smokey trails of red.
