It started out as it always did.
Quiet. Then a gently touch to his shoulder blade, the softest glide of long fingers up towards the peak of his shoulder. An arm draping around him, and he could feel himself smile as the warm body pressed against his back, lips brushing the nape of his neck with a soft giggle. The best way to wake up, he would think. And then he turns on his back slowly, giving time for his love to back away so he could lay down properly, and he opened his eyes and-And the eyes staring back at him were the wrong colour, and the smile aimed at him was not as warm as it should be, and the skin not as soft, and everything was wrong.
And then he woke up.
