Summary
The concept of "rivals" was not unheard of in hell. However, wanton and impersonal violence tended to be more common, given how most sinners rarely took interest in each other for extended periods of time. They did live in eternity, after all, and most relationships (friendships or otherwise) didn't last very long even on earth. Grudges usually evaporated before two decades had passed, and alliances usually dissolved within one.
That being said, every once in a while, rivalries did exceed the expected time to evanesce.

The strange demon had just finished helping Cheryl remove the bullets out of her shoulders when for some godforsaken reason he decided to start small talk. The bullets he'd put in her. Though she might have deserved it; given how she'd broken into his apartment in the first place, and then tried to kill him with a handmade explosive. Emphasis on tried. But the screaming pain they left in their wake made rationality rather difficult at the moment.

One ship, just one, and Penelope stood on the clifftop near her husband’s palace and looked down upon the harbor below, and clenched her fist in her himation until it was wrapped around her so tight that it was imprinting its weave pattern onto her skin. Just one ship, and the men she could see disembarking were too few to be fifty, and none turned to hare instantly up the hill towards her.
Penelope turned away to head into the palace, to wait for the bad news to find her.
