Summary
Louis wasn’t sure sometimes whether it was Armand he missed or if he just missed not being alone. Perhaps Armand had only ever been a lump of clay, amorphous, interchangeable, just filling a void. Perhaps Louis just missed the feeling of a body in bed next to him, the knowledge that there was someone he could rely on to handle things when he was tired. Could be anyone.
But in other moments, when his mind was too quiet to drown out the screaming inside of him, he was forced to admit that he missed Armand.

“I am sorry,” Armand leaned into placation. He always looked so young like that, wet-eyed and frustrated. You could almost forget what he was. “Daniel, I apologize, please let's forget I said—”
“No no no, let’s not ‘let’s forget,’ let’s dig in on this!” Daniel focused in on those big wet eyes, those beautiful liar’s eyes that always made him want to curl around Armand, burrow into him, eat away at him, destroy him from the inside and never leave again. What a hypocritical asshole.

"Did I?" Daniel wonders aloud. "Because I definitely sold a piece where I interviewed a gay hustler about what it was like being a gay hustler."
