It all started, as these things do, with mission, a shaman, a vision quest ceremony they decided to participate in to be sociable, then all of a sudden, things weren't so ceremonial...

So. We had a big snowstorm. It seemed to sort well with my feelings.
Woke up on Solstice and banged this out in about an hour while I was trying not to wake up Mr. Bead too early.
It's a song. I might record it I don't know if I can do it justice.
I blame the gospel choir series Voices of Fire and Pharell William's Uncle on this one. I miss singing WITH people. I miss people. I did before. It's worse now. Y'all know.

I lost a poem to this stupid neurological whatsis. I wrote this stream of consciousness hoping to you know.....sort of do an anti-Coleridge myself and remember the poem. In short, I was working on a poem after thinking I was sort of coming out of a bad pain flare...but apparently it was a flare boomerang, and hit me hard right in the middle of making my way down the hall to actually start writing.
Mr. Bead had me down and comfortable as possible and we agreed that I needed extra pain meds.
Remembered the poem as I slipped the tincture under my tongue and ooh nooooooo.

That poem trying to get out was this one. The one that was gone by the time I walked inside May 18, 2020.
Maybe where we were trying to get to was here in early spring. Before the skies turned darker...but I wasn't able to find the words until it did.
And also to blame would be Hannah Gadsby, Van Gogh, and my neurological whatsis. Because honestly, we opened up Netflix to escape a little and the promo of her new special came up and I looked at her and facepalmed my everything. (You won't get that unless you google it or watch the special but trust me. Watch. Nanette.)
Anyway, Hannah and Vincent guilted me into it, but in a good way.

This is about my pain struggle (we might have a diagnosis soon after 20 years). It has a brief reference to my sexual assault: violence that didn't actually occur.
I BROKE MY WRITING BLOCK Y'ALL.
It's not a sunny little thing, but what can ya do. Subtitled: My Smart Wand broke, and apparently it was helping a lot more than I thought.
I'm not thrilled about the formatting, but it was the best I could do with the tools at hand to denote the etch-a-sketch nature of my symptoms.

Thorin Durinson, head of Durinson & Company, an architectural firm specializing in environmentally responsible design and restoration, focuses all his creative abilities on his work and his affection on his family and old friends. And then one grey day, a woman in a red coat literally walks into his life, and just like that, everything changes.
Inspired by a prompt from lostunderthemountain on Oct. 11th, based on this gorgeous photoset.
ME: Mmm, rolled up sleeves, and who are you looking at, dearie, in that last frame?
lostunderthemountain: OH! Modern AU in New York: Thorin Durinson is the is the Head of a global company that is continually under threat from Smaug’s (cause like they differ on many opinions or something….).
Anyway, one morning he’s getting out of a taxi outside of the company’s building when he catches sight of one Miss Bella Baggins (not that he knows her name) and instantly his world freezes…until Fili shoves him to try to get him to move…

Bucky never having been out of cryo for so long, and his arm starts to rust, so he’s gotta ask Stark for a maintenance kit, but instead, Tony just builds him a whole new arm.
And this one can feel and doesn’t have that damned red star on its shoulder and can probably shoot missiles out of the fingertips.
Tony’s smirking and smiling, going on and on about the cool new features, completely unprepared for Bucky’s quiet and heartfelt “Thank you”
Because yes, Bucky’s old employers made his arm with care, but they didn’t make it just for him, with love and excitement, and for (probably) the first time in his life, Tony Stark is rendered speechless.
And awaaaay we go.
