After a particularly embarrassing attempted match, Qui-Gon decides he doesn't need an alpha.

Qui-Gon was an anomaly, the kind that people stayed away from.
That is until he crosses one particular alpha.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is like no Alpha that Qui-Gon has ever met. He's beautiful and broad and built exactly like he's always been told an Alpha is supposed to be, but he's sweet and loyal and doesn't seem to mind that Qui-Gon is none of the things he's supposed to be. Slowly, Qui-Gon finds himself falling in love, though he knows it can't go anywhere good.
