His tattoo taunts me, peeking out over his collar at the faithful kneeling in the pews. I’m too nearsighted to make out the design clearly, but I imagine that my glasses would do little to make sense of the half-inch blob of ink that peeks out over his collar.
It looks like a cupid or a rose or the head of a swallow, something soft and round and perfect for sinking my teeth into.
I want to crawl into his lap and run the tip of my tongue over the marked skin. I want to bite it, to color its greyscale with my kiss.
