    “You… touch me a lot,” Whitaker finds himself sputtering, the words that have been held back all this time have finally broken through; he can’t stop them. “Did -did you know that?”
    Robby is staring at Dennis Whitaker with an astounded look that falls somewhere between surprised, apologetic and somewhat amused. In an instant, he corrects his expression and looks away, removing his hand from Dennis’ shoulder and scrubbing the back of his own neck as his eyes fall to the floor with a touch of bashfulness, as if he’s guilty of something. “Jesus. Sorry, kid. I didn’t realize.”
