Summary

Viktor walked over to the small darkwood table that sat beside the bed. He set the gloves down atop it before opening the drawer. To Jayce’s surprise, he pulled out a pair of handcuffs. They weren’t even the shitty metal ones; they were made of dark red leather and looked slightly fuzzy on the inside. They made Jayce’s mouth go dry.
Viktor held them up. “I want to restrain you and then ride you until you can’t take it anymore. Does that sound agreeable?”

“You look ridiculous, by the way,” Viktor says. He gestures toward Jayce with a deliberate wave of his hand. "The beard. And the hair."
Jayce blinks. “What?”
“It is overgrown. You look like a poorly maintained garden.”
“Are you calling me a shrub?”
“It is not the worst thing," Viktor teases, wry. Then his smirk fades into something more thoughtful. “You have … changed, yes. You are rougher around the edges now. You look—” He hesitates, words faltering before settling on, “—like you have lived.”
And Jayce wonders how much longer he’ll be able to hold himself back.
