"You've been lying to me, for years, Xiao Zhuo. Why didn't you tell me?" Zhao Yuanzhou says with a slight tremble in his voice. Tears are falling, yet Zhao Yuanzhou keeps trying to hold himself together.
"Because I couldn't bear to see you turn into the monster you hated." Zhuo Yichen says carefully, "Our son being taken away from us killed something in you and I never managed to get it back."
"That monster resurfaced the moment we couldn't feel his heartbeat anymore." A broken smiles crosses Zhao Yuanzhou's face as he scoffs, "I truly think it's too late, Xiao Zhuo."
"So you'll destroy what he has managed to build for his life?"
"No. I'll destroy the root cause of it all." For the first time in thousands of years, the blank stare Zhuo Yichen thought was gone from the last blood moon now stares him in the face again. This time though, Zhao Yuanzhou is in full control.

“Da Mu Tou.” The seriousness in the way DongFang QingCang says it splits an uncontrolled smile across Xiao LanHua’s face. She smothers it at his reciprocal reaction: an expression so full of unadulterated hope that it pulls at Xiao LanHua’s heartstrings.
“Excuse me?” Xiao LanHua asks.
With absolute gravity, the Moon Supreme, most powerful immortal in all three realms, the sole master of glazed fire, repeats himself, “You call me Da Mu Tou.”
