Summary
“Hey, Michael?” Dennis calls over his shoulder, shutting the dishwasher.
“Mm?” Michael hums into his newspaper. His hair is still sleep-mussed, he’s wearing his reading glasses and he’s got a bathrobe and slippers on and Dennis’ chest sort of hurts looking at him. So he quickly turns back to the sink to start cleaning the pan he used to make them breakfast.
“Do you have a KitchenAid?”
OR:

Summary
There’s a hand, fingers cold, on his elbow – someone trying to get his attention. Usually, usually, his staff would know that just calling his name is enough, that he’s fine-tuned to the sound of it like a dog waiting for a command. But as he looks down and then to the person the chilled digits belong to, he finds Whitaker staring up at him owlishly. A shudder goes through him, senses zeroing in on the point of contact.
“Can I help you?” It comes out bitchier than he intended, caught off-guard as he is. But he doesn’t take it back, not even when the kid bites at his lower lip as if he wants to apologize.
“I just wanted to ask if you liked the chicken parm.”
aka Robby doesn't know he's being wooed by home-cooked meals and big, honest eyes.

Summary
He waits until the commercial break to ask what’s been bothering him since that afternoon. “Hey, Trin.”
“Make it snappy, bloodhound.” She slides down the couch, shoving her cold toes under his thigh.
“Do you think Doctor Robby’s been, like, singling me out?” Saying it out loud makes him cringe even though there’s no other way to phrase it and he really needs a second opinion.
“Oh, yeah.” She scoffs, offering him a bright grin. “You’re his best boy.”
“What?!” He – he refuses to admit that he squeaks but his voice does go up an octave, heat rushing to his cheeks.Whitaker goes through the motions and gets that old man in the end

Summary
"Tell me to go," Whitaker says quietly. "If that’s what you want, say it."
Robby’s throat works. "You should—" He stops, swallows hard. "You should go."
"Then step back."
Robby doesn’t.Between the nonstop traumas and Robby touching him like it doesn’t mean anything while actively flirting with Collins, Whitaker is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
Thankfully, it ends better than it began.- Language:
