“I’m sorry, Bin...” Chan murmured, his voice barely audible now. “I’m just... so tired.”
“I know,” Changbin whispered, his voice softer now, as if soothing him, trying to bring him back to reality. “But you don’t have to do this alone. Let me help. Let’s go home, hyung. We’ll take care of it together.”
It was then that Chan let out a shaky breath, finally giving in to the exhaustion. His body felt heavy, too heavy to fight. He allowed himself to lean against Changbin, his hand coming to rest weakly on Changbin’s shoulder. Changbin held him close, careful not to jostle him too much.
“Rest now, Chan-hyung,” Changbin said, his voice gentle, but there was an underlying firmness. “I’m here. You don’t have to be strong alone. Not tonight.”
