Summary
Steven is an omega of nearly twenty years who cannot seem to find any alpha or male beta agreeable enough to court with, much to his mother's chagrin. Edward is an alpha recently returned from time abroad, a fresh face to society, and has a father who won't stop bothering him about finding a mate of high social standing.
Although they both find the other to be vaguely insufferable, they do have one thing in common, and it's enough for them to make a truce: surely a few months of pretend courting will be enough for their parents to leave well enough alone, and they can seek out other matches with nobody breathing down their necks in the meantime. It's the perfect arrangement – it's not like they'll actually grow to have feelings for each other, after all!

“Eddie,” the Alpha spoke, breaking the comfortable silence they had fallen into, “I’m Eddie Munson, and you are?” Steve was taken aback. It had been a while since he had the honour of introducing himself to someone. People typically knew of him a while before they actually knew him. But Steve had to be smart, if Eddie didn’t already know of his lineage, he didn’t want to reveal it too early.
Steve smiled, wetting his bottom lip before responding, “Steven, but I prefer Steve if that’s alright with you?” Steve watched as Eddie threw his head back, barking out a loud laugh and Steve’s eyes fell onto his canines, noticing the way that Eddie’s tongue ran across them.
