Summary
Fiyero Tigelaar has one thought inside his head: Elphaba Thropp.
So much so that he goes as far as betraying the Emerald City and its anti-Animal beliefs in order to be the first to find her. But, he quickly finds that one cannot simply outsmart the great Wizard of Oz and Madame Morrible. And Morrible wants the entirety to know that Fiyero Tigelaar is nothing more than the Wicked Witch of the West's dog.
And she takes that quite literally, leading the young prince to find out what it's like to be an Animal in the great land of Oz.

I wrote this because it popped up in my head...don't know if it is good but welcome. It will be a few chapters long.

"Falling unconscious was supposed to be a mercy. A blessing, a way to protect yourself from the turmoil and anguish you were facing. It didn’t work that way for Elphaba though. She’d tried, she’d poured everything she had, every trick in that cursed book, every ounce of power she possessed into trying to save Fiyero. In the end it had amounted to nothing but hazy flashes of what they were doing to him dancing across her eyes, and an angry vow to never do anything good again. Collapsing to the cold stone floor of Kiamo Ko, she’d barely registered Chistery and the other monkeys wrapping a cloak around her before her eyes slid shut."
A time-travel fix it fic, where Elphaba collapses after No Good Deed, but doesn't wake up exactly where she expects she would have....

“Good morning,” Aliya said brightly, pausing her work to greet him. Her mother had strictly instilled manners into her, especially towards customers of their family apothecary. “How can I help you?”
“Morning,” the man replied, low and quiet, as if to preserve the stillness of the morning air. He took another step closer, and the light from the rising sun caught his face.
Aliya froze.
Scars. So so many scars. A thick, pale, ropey line split through his left cheek, from jaw to nose, deep enough that it tugged the skin when he spoke. Another slashed down the right side of his face, dangerously close to his eye. The burns were the worst: glossy, stretched patches from temple to neck, each one warped and puckered like melted candlewax.
