Summary
No one in Lockcid Lake was quite as they seemed. Tourism blogs claimed that magic lurked around every corner. The independent shops all seemed to have some bits and bobs that would look more in place in a wizard’s workshop. The local mall Santa was truly Jolly Old St. Nick, because they got exactly what they told him for Christmas. The high school seemed to run rampant with rumours. The captain of the girl’s soccer team was secretly a knight. And the senior history teacher was obviously an evil troll. Lockcid Lake High School was so renowned for it’s strange happenings and weirdly interesting kids, that the other schools in the district nicknamed it Dreamer’s High. Because it seemed to be filled with things only found in children’s dreams.
Such a name, such a reputation, and such a high concentration of supposed magic would most certainly attract dark creatures. Very dark creatures. Creatures of shadow and of nightmares. And their ruler happened to have some unfinished business with a few tenants of the mostly unknown town.
This is the story of the hidden magic of Lockcid Lake, the darkness that tried to snuff it out, and the few brave teens that decided to give up on secrets and save their home.
